I've got another amp that when paired with any of the amps in the photo, have a out of phase (not a in a good way) thing going on. IMO that is the **** but, the amps have to work together. The thing I found that I love is using two amps in stereo and getting a sound that wraps around you. The silver face Fender on the bottom left is a Rumble 40 base amp. In the top picture you see the acoustic Crate amp connected as well on the left and I was just blending in some different sounds using it with both electric and acoustic guitars. The black face Fender runs the 4x12 cab at present but the Crate 120 can run it too playing through 6 speakers.

I play both electric and acoustic guitars through it and when I'm playing there's a minimum of two amps running. I picked it up piece by piece over 25 years and the cab (Crate 4x12), Fender (Frontman 25) and Crate (XT120R) amps I got within the first year. It's put together and dialed in to sound good where it sits. Here's my living room rig and it doesn't travel anymore and I don't play out anymore with my electric guitars. I'd love to hear other people's experience. It's a process to get to the tone you want, and this is kind of how I got mine.

In the meantime I've expanded my pedalboard to include a lot of other effects and brands. I think this is finally what I was looking for. That did the trick for me ! I still found the Hotone to be a little too dirty, so I purchased the EHX 5MM. Then after some research, I decided to stack 2 amps, so I bought an ABY box, and started running 2 amps at the same time. I wanted a clean pedal platform, but wasn't finding the exact tone I wanted. I'll just say that I learned I don't really care for the Marshall sound. My next small amp purchase was a Hotone Purple wind. I like this amp much more, even though it's SS and not tube, but I find it just a tad bright. I liked the fact that the Bugera had the attenuator, in the spirit of low volume playing, but it was too dark for me, so I sold it and bought a Fender Champion 20. I started with a Bugera V5 and a Tele style guitar I built from a kit, a compressor pedal, a TS and an analog delay (all Behringer). It's all just for fun, but I still want great tone. None the less, it's something I love doing and it's a great stress relief valve. I only started playing 10 years ago at the age of 44, and I don't have any experience playing in a band setting. Let me start by saying I'm a late bloomer. I thought we could share our experiences and ideas explain our rigs and what kind of sound we're trying to get. It looks like a lot of people are looking for great sound at low volumes, which can be tricky. I got the idea from the "Caline Medusa and Captain Silver resurrected" thread.
